POSITION SUMMARY

The Grants Manager coordinates grant submissions to support the strategic priorities of the organization. This person will participate in agency planning and budgeting activities to ensure adequate resources are available to meet the organization's operating goals.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be committed to the vision, mission, and values of Community Progress Council
  • Continually research, identify, present, and maintain sources of public and private grant opportunities that align with the mission and strategic priorities of the organization
  • Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposals, and assembling and attending strategy meetings
  • Facilitate meetings of subject matter experts and assemble information pertinent to grant applications
  • Establish and monitor a grants' calendar to ensure timely programmatic and fiscal reporting
  • Attend grant information meetings and present project ideas to potential funders to evaluate alignment
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with funders
  • Work with the grant source to execute the required contracts and submit subsequent reporting
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the alignment of the grant implementation with its proposal
  • Ensures quality, accuracy, and completeness of all submitted grant proposals
  • Serve as the organization's point of contact for multi-agency and community-based grant development efforts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in communications, creative writing, English, journalism, marketing, or related field plus two to three years of experience in grant writing preferred. Familiarity grants writing process and demonstrated ability to prepare funding proposals is preferred.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Department of Human Services FBI Clearance, National Sex Offender Registry, and PA Child Abuse Certification required prior to hire; PA State Criminal History due within 30 days of hire date; a physical assessment including a tuberculosis skin test and "Mandated Reporter" training due within 90-days of hire. Some position may require a valid DL with acceptable driving history.
