SUMMARY

The Human Resources Director serves as a member of the leadership team and administers all aspects of human resources functions of the organization, and collaborates with the Chief Organizational Development Officer and other members of the leadership team to establish measurable strategic and annual goals related to employee relations, recruitment, talent management, compliance, and training.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and be committed to the vision, mission, and values of Community Progress Council
  • Provide leadership and operational oversight to all aspects of employee relations including, but not limited to benefit selection and administration, compensation, talent management, performance management, and wellness efforts
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to oversee organizational safety efforts
  • Provide leadership to all aspects of employee recruitment, onboarding, retention, and advancement in collaboration with the Chief Organizational Development Officer
  • Assist the Chief Organizational Development Officer in defining and implementing strategies to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices in all human resource functions.
  • Implement and communicate policies and procedures that are consistent with the strategic goals and values of the organization and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations; and adopt risk management processes
  • Identify and report key performance indicators that inform program and agency quality improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with the Chief Organizational Development Officer to address training and professional development needs for all the organization's team members
  • Partner with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Partner with the Chief Organizational Development Officer to develop and manage an annual budget to achieve human resource goals
  • Direct and support the professional development of the human resource team

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or Business Management plus two years of Human Resource Leadership experience; Master's Degree and a certification from the Society for Human Resource Management is preferred.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Department of Human Services FBI Clearance, National Sex Offender Registry, and PA Child Abuse Certification required prior to hire; PA State Criminal History due within 30 days of hire date; a physical assessment including a tuberculosis skin test and "Mandated Reporter" training due within 90-days of hire. Some position may require a valid DL with acceptable driving history.
